613cal ("we", "us") is an independent, community-run events calendar for Ottawa. We aim to collect as little information as possible. This page explains what is and isn't collected when you use 613cal.ca.

What we collect

613cal is a static website. We do not run user accounts, and we do not ask for or store personal information to browse the calendar. We do not sell personal information.

• Your location: the "distance" filter uses your browser's geolocation only if you tap "Use my location." Your coordinates are used in your browser to sort and filter events by distance and are not sent to or stored by us.
• Event submissions: if you submit an event, the details and any contact email you provide are sent to us so we can review and publish the listing.

Cookies and advertising

613cal shows ads served by Google AdSense to help cover running costs. To do this:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website and other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to 613cal and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info/choices.

Event listings link to third-party websites (venues, ticketing platforms, organizers). We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites; please review their own policies.

Children

613cal is a general-audience listings site and is not directed at children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time; material changes will be reflected by the date above.
